Car is back on the ground after a lot of work, but one system I did not touch was the a/c because it worked flawlessly before. After doing a few test drives it seems sitting at idle the a/c get scold, but while driving city speeds the air is luke warm/ coolish. It has been quite warm here lately, but like I said that was never an issue before. Yesterday while driving I noticed that my voltmeter shows 12 instead of 14 while driving and today I started up the car with the a/c on and this was still the same reading. Turning off the a/c the volt meter went back up and did not go back down when I turned the a.c on again. While running and sitting in the driveway with the a/c on, the clutch kicks on and off a lot. Like it will be on for a bit, click off for a bit, and then click back on. It should be staying on fully until the car is cool or there is engine load sensed, correct? Anyone have any ideas of where I should start trouble shooting? No codes thrown,
Thanks.

Reason: change in description of issue
Well we figured it out, system was low on freon. Had one of those cans of R134 left over from fixing my partner's Miata and sure enough the gauge read low and when we added more the compressor stayed on and the a/c got proper GM cold. So looks like I need some new o-rings and valve stems.

What PSI did you take it to? Just curious, had a low reading on my 94 recently.
well that all depends on the heat, it was 7 or something like that our and brought it up to about 35 psi using a can of freon and a gauge like below. Though this was just to make sure my compressor wasn't the issue. I had the freon evacuated and then replaced the o rings, and now it is getting recharged.
