Replacing stock resonator with X-pipe
Someday, I may want to add headers to my stock exhaust system, but just maybe.
However, I've been reading up on replacing my stock resonator with an X-pipe. What I find appealing--again all from reading, no experience--- is the reduction in drone and improvement to the rather uninteresting exhaust tone of the stock system. However, most of the threads I've read have dead links (or links that go to home pages and their product search dead ends). Flowmonster (Holly product, just mufflers on their search page), Flowmaster (also from Holly, has X pipes but none for C4), and Magnaflow...
3" Magnaflows would be my choice, but I also read they are too wide to fit.

There are these from Vette Mod that are stated to fit C4-- but that seems like a lot more pipe than I need (especially if it doesn't bolt straight up--something that was easier to find for my Miata)

And 4" exits on a stock system with 2.5" internal muffler passages just seems like 5 kinds of silly.

Tried H X and no crossover at all no power difference...the x kinda dumbs down the v8 rumble..kind of a smooth exhaust note. Guess its been in for awhile..trends change. I prefer none at all makes dropping a trans much easier

DO NOT!....I REPEAT,...DO NOT!....BUY ANYTHING FROM CORVETTE MODS!!!....rip offs are into me for a 160 bucks!...ordered brake hoses from them in June 2020, still haven't received them, pakastan guy on the phone would not help because I've opened a case through PayPal on them, told me to talk to my financial institution....USPS tracking has package delivered to Arizona!?....I live in n.c.!...

I tried them 1-3 times over the years nothing but BS : we don't have the part you wanted but we got another one for $50.. more just like it ,sent me the wrong part a oil dip stick that fit who knows what and just BS . DO NOT BUY JACK FROM THEM .

I have got to re-iterate the terrible customer service from corvette mods. I ordered from them and it took forever but finally received my products. Had an issue with the coil sent and LUCKILY Davis is taking care of it because I never received a response from corvette mods. They are cheap for a reason...they never get repeat customers because their service is terrible.
Ok...getting that out of the way...I am also looking for an exhaust option for the stock manifold. Ecklers has a billy boat, which I am leaning towards as my mom's C5 has one...and it sounds fantastic. I did see the magnaflow, borla as well as the corsa on wildvettes . No experience with their site or those exhausts. recommendations?
