There is always this option.

https://ramclutches.com/c4-corvette-conversion-kits/

After a new Fidanza flywheel, having it balanced, new ToB, new fork, new ballstud, new carolina stage 2 clutch, and having Bill ZFDoc level the pressure plate, I had enough it to have gone to this style of clutch. If I had to do it again this is what I would seriously consider doing.

But I will say after doing it all the way I did the thing does shift smooth as silk.

if you want just stock replacement stuff, ecklers has a whole kit with flywheel and everything i think, seems like it was around 500 for everything. keep us posted please i am in the same boat as you..i'd be interested in what route you go and how it works in the end.

on that ram kit, how does it work? that throw out bearing is sorta turned into the slave cylinder and you eliminate the old slave cylinder? i saw those but they are expensive

Here is how it went for me.
My 1996 needed a new flywheel. When you replace a flywheel you may as well do the clutch and throw out bearing as well. Once I got the transmission out I could see the back of the clutch fork had been rubbing the back of the pressure plate.
I went with the Findanza aluminum flywheel - $376 Jegs
The flywheel comes zero balanced. You will need to have it balanced to match your old flywheel so don't throw I out. Balancing - $150
Carolina stage 2 clutch - includes pressure plate, clutch disc, and throw out bearing - $422
After much research I have learned just as everyone else has said the pressure plates all come from the same manufacturer. The quality control there is not the best.
I sent my pressure plate to ZFdoc to make sure it was actually level across the plate. $140 plus shipping. Mine was not level and he got it all corrected.
New fork and ball stud - $165
New master cylinder - $34
New slave cylinder - $77
Total is $1,364

The ram clutch would probably be a better unit over the long haul. I have watched the complete install. There is nothing there that is too hard to do. The only issue for me is the transmission needs to come out from under the car with the bell housing. I work on jack stands and when I have the transmission out of the car it stays on the jack under the car. I cant get my cay high enough to get it out from under the car. You need it out to mock up the trans bell housing so you can setup the hydraulic throw out bearing. It looks very easy to do.

^thanks for sharing. I’m thinking it’s best to just get a cheap clutch kit from rock auto as we’ve learned all the PP’s come from the same manf. It’s got to go to bill anyway so why spend more on a Carolina kit? As far as I’ve heard the disks are about the same quality wise from all manufactures, so once again it seems a cheap clutch kit is just as good (or bad) as a more expensive Carolina/spec kit. I’ll be going down this road next season...

you could get just a pressure plate and have bill do his magic. Then order just the disc bill recommends from centerforce I think. the disc is about $100 or so. He says it’s a good solid holding disc
