My antenna mast stoped moving but the motor still works. Anyone have experience with the removal and repair of the antenna mast/motor. Ordered the new mast and repair cable from ZIP but need tips on how to remove and repair. I am assuming the cable is the problem since the motor still works. Thanks...
It's a PITA. You have to remove the rear part of the exhaust or the muffler that is under it, and then reach up in there. You have to just feel your way around for the most part. I have also had people say that going in through the wheel well works. Never tried it. There is a ground wire that is the hardest to get to. I had to the same problem as you. The plastic thing inside broke.
Hi BillV,
there's a tech tip posted for this repair. Go to tools then see the tech tips drop down box. Happy hunting...I recall reading that access can be achieved by removing the driver rear tire and rear wheel well. Good luck.

If you have long arms the easiest fix is up from underneath the rear of the car. I have muff elims so nothing was in my way, but I couldn't reach the top bezel. I had to go the route of taking off my rear wheel and fender well. I could manage to reach it then.
