1994 C4 vibration problems after replace driveshaft Ujoint
Hi guys,
Last week I put my c4 to store do the driveshaft U JOINT replacement and flush coolant.
However, after I pick up my c4, I feel bad vibration when I drive, and I notice shake really hard when engine around 2000 RPM.
Also the sound of my exhaust has changed, sounds like "Tu Tu Tu Tu Tu Tu Tu....".
And feel engine works hard, it's not as powerful as before.
Then the MPG drop down(Usually 27 on highway but now only 20), some gas smell(this maybe old problem)
I suppose is they didn't install my exhaust correctly. But I don't know what exactly happened on my car.
So anyone have idea what's wrong with my vette? Any tips will be appreciated!
Now what I can do is pay extra 1 hr labor fee to that store and diagnose what's wrong.
The vibration and extra effort on the car I wonder if they screwed up the u joint installation, something like they didn't seat them correctly in the diff yoke or a needle dropped inside the cap and the were using a press and used a little more effort with to get the clips in.
Thank you for reply, in fact, it also have vibration when I am in N gear. Around 2000 RPM and N gear, the engine still vibration but not really horrible like the case during accelerate
The th th th could be an exhaust leak, the stumbling might be a loose plug wire or a wet Opti-Spark if they were sloppy with coolant or an engine wash.
. So make sure the plug wires are seated and in firing order. Also look for the exhaust leak
OK so I got my car today. The store said no exhaust issues, so the problem may at engine side.
They guess it may has misfire.
However, on today's driving I feel much better than last time I drove it. On highway the inst.MPG will back to 27 sometimes
