Ok on a high way on ramp WOT. Car shifts 1st to 2nd fine...when it goes from 2nd to 3rd it hesitateds....finally tries to shift but instead of going it to gear the RPM's shoot to 5200. I let off the gas...THUMD...then give some gass then it shifts to 3rd. It was so wierd... I tried to get it to do it again. but i twouldn't, which is good i guess. Any ideas? U checked the tranny fluid. There was plenty in there....and the color was fine (redish right) Thanks guys
:::There looks like there is to much transmission fluid in there, is that a problem?::::
:::Car was driven about once a week while i was away at school (3 months):::
I'm a member too. $1500 for a pro torque 2000 stall, custom shift(part trans-go) extra cluthes and kevlar composit bands.
You can dump some of the tranny fluid if you think its too high without dropping the pan. You can disconnect the tranny lines where they enter the radiator and then turn the car over for a couple seconds. I have done it on my vette just this year at the track. It's a little messy keep a pan under neath the tranny line when you do it.
You have the exact same symptoms mine had...it was like that for about 750 miles, now my tranny's coming out to get rebuilt. 3-4 clutch pack went :seeya . I got stuck 40 miles from my house and went the rest of the way on a flatbed... :boxing

I think i failed to mention this car is an Automatic

Ah, you really didn't have to mention it, we understood it was an auto. Didn't you say you just had it rebuilt not too long ago? If so, I would take it back and make myself a P.I.T.A untill they fixed it. There is no way a properly rebuilt transmission should loose a clutch pack that soon. Remove some of the extra tanny fluid, then refill to full mark, while trans is warm, and in park with the engine running.
If you haven't rebuilt yet, and I confused you with someone else, I hope you have 1k to 1500 bucks lying around 'cause your trans is gonna get worse before it gets better. Though I'm not an expert on auto's, it doesn't sound like a good thing to me.
Sorry about your troubles bud, but hey, when you get it fxed, you should have a bulletproff car for awhile, or it will be a good selling point if you decide to go that route.

Unfortunatley i will probably sell b4 i fix to avoid this hassel.
is this something i could tackle if i pull some favors from my HS auto shop teacher so i can use his tools.
Will
You could tackle the R & R, but unless he, or someone else you are close to is really, really, good with autos and 700R4's specifically, I would leave the rebuild to an expert.
If it did it only the one time?, then if the level is too high (a quart or more) then this can cause erratic shifting. Check the condition of the fluid and the level by reading it on both sides of the stick (the lower of the two sides is the correct level). If you drop the pan, (to remove the excess oil) look at the bottom to see if there is band/clutch material, it will look like "black soot", if there is some, then this could be telling you you might need a transmission rebuild in the future. If there is very little if any "black soot" on the bottom of the pan, then you might consider a Trans-Go Performance Shift kit along with the Junior setup, this might keep the trans alive for quite awhile.
