Hey everyone, New to C4 ownership so i figured I'd get my feet wet here too. Just bought a 94 6-speed convertible(month ago). Red on black- blacktop. I do have a few questions that I hope some can help me with. I just ask one for now. The reverse lockout on the shifter doen't work. I can access reverse without lifting up the ring on the shifter. After looking thru the service manual and tearing apart the console to look things over, it appears that my shifter is on 180 degrees out. Is it possible to put a Zf shifter on in the wrong direction. The "lockout bar" at the base of the shifter doesn't hit the stop when you go to the right, but looks like it would work properly if it was turned 180 degrees. Also would it be possible to remove the shifter without dropping the tranny? If so How? Anyone have experience with the Zf tranny that can offer any help. Sorry for being so long winded. Thanks 94redrag (Zane)
Although I'm new to C4's, I'm not new to corvettes. I also have a 81 4-speed :D
