PSA: Tensioner Tool LT1/4 specific
I have a 93, and I bought the tensioner tool years ago, late 90s from whomever had one, Ecklers/MAD/ZIP??. It came with a few little attachments for different size bolts on the tensioner.
Just recently I had to remove my tensioner, and it had a 13mm bolt holding the center pulley you attach the wrench to loosen the tension.. This worked perfect on my tool as the flat bar has a 13mm 12 point cut in it.
Not thinking, I threw the old tensioner away, while I did other work on the car. When it came time to install the new one, it came with a new bolt, 15mm head.
Old tensioner tool did Not work, and with a camber brace in there, its not fun using open end wrenches.
Not sure if anyone has ever caught that. One video on a Impala tensioner change the guy noticed it too.
