Anyone get alignment done???
I have a 96 w/gs engine. How much would alignment cost? Anyone that has gotten alignment please tell me how much they spent, where (dealer or local shop), and if they are satisfied.

$50 by the same shop that has done it for years and also does race cars. Get it done once a year...need it or not ( there is generally one or two small adjustments needed). Make sure and sit in the car when it is being done and have the gas tank filled to the point that you most often drive it!

$49.95 for the specs i wanted
front, as much camber as we could get which was one degree, toe was set at slightly out, basically wobbling between zero and a hint out
rear half a degree of camber and zero toe
love it, car handles MUCH better and drives just lovely. if you like to drive sporty do similar, if not you could get away with less camber.

57 bucks last week at North Providence Tire and Auto on hunter equipment i also have all 4 wheels balanced at 12.95 a pop on the Hunter 9700. This stuff is the best. I watched them do the whole thing. The car drive like brand new now. Straight as an arrow and no vibration at any speed. Total with tax for 4 wheel alingment AND balance on good equipment was 120 bucks out the door with tax. I cant imagine having paid 125-150 just for an alignment why did some pay so much. I couldnt be happier with the job these guys did. Although i was there 3 hours.

Pep boyz would be my last choice (after doing it myself). Every few years I take something simple to them like buying tires for the junker or my truck. If they can't handle balancing/installing tires on those (which they can't) how can they handle anything else? I also don't like service managers with an attitude! I go to the independent guy that has been in business for 20 years at the same spot.
