Trick flow heads with scorpion rockers
I recently had a rocker fail and it damaged the surface of the valve stem. It left a wear mark in the middle of the top of the stem like the shape of the roller on the rocker. Am i safe just putting a new rocker on?

Depends on how bad the wear is. Picture?

Put lash caps on. That will fix the worn valve and protect the others.

No, you shouldn't just change the rocker with that amount of damage.

In my opinion, that valve is done. The valve stem lash caps have to sit flat on top the valve stem, or eventually they are going to fail also.
In my opinion you are at the point of fixing / replacing, instead of trying to band-aid. You could end up with worse, more expensive damage.
Based on the damage of that valve tip, how would you know if there isn't valve guide damage without removal and inspection.
As I said, my opinion, but it is your engine/wallet.

Update
Lash caps and the new rocker worked great. Found that all the rockers were not adjusted right by the performance shop that did the work for the guy I bought the car from.
