crane compycam 2030 ....duration 264'/274' lift 423'/446'

How is this cam wild/tame is good to miniram or superram?

I might have a good price on it, with lifters.

What about duration at .050", LSA, ramp aggressiveness, engine size, rocker ratio, intake, exhaust, tranny, rear end?

Sounds like a good idling torquer.

It is very mild, it almost equivalent to putting 1.6R on stock cam. I would go for something bigger for the hassle of a cam swap.

i did some searching on the compucam 2030. summit has it listed as a non-roller cam. comes with lifters for $150 here's a link to the spec card http://dab7.cranecams.com/SpecCard/D...1=Display+Card

it looks like crane changed the name of the line form compucam to powermax, and they have a line of roller cams here. http://www.cranecams.com/master/apps/chevy37.htm
the 2030 looks very tame, even for a tpi, with 204*I @ .50.

now to make it more confusing, summit has compucam roller camshafts, but they do not list the 2030 amoung the roller cams. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...rchtype%3Decat

even if the one your looking at is a roller cam, i'd say no way for a miniram (i would look at no smaller than the hotcam at 218*I @ .50) or the superram (since the LPE219 seems to work great there 219*I @ .50) IMHO

Devilfish- what are your goals for your car? Without knowing what you are trying to do with it I can't really give you a good answer. Shed some light on the subject for us. Or you can email me privately off the board at LPDesRoche@direcway.com
