I have purchased a seat of seat covers for my GF dads 94 and am having a hard time finding a installation kit for them. I have talked to TLD, MAD, and ecklers but all there kits end in 93. Any help would be appreciated.
From taking apart my '96 base seat, I believe the only things you will need are a bunch of hog rings, and hog ring pliers. The seat foam has some wire supports embedded, and there are three wire supports in the seat cover itself. If your new covers don't have the wires, I don't see why you can't just transfer the old ones over, assuming the slots are there.
Well, "wires" is a misnomer for the 94-96 seats, it's more like 1/4" metal rods.
I didn't see any other hooks or clips on the seats.
Good luck tackling this yourself, it's not easy to get it to look good. Next time I will go to an upholstery shop, let us know how yours turn out...
