I noticed some odd over-spray areas on my car and suspect the car or at least sections of the car may have been repainted. I know during the manufacturing process some areas may see some over-spray. See attached pictures.
Paint looks very good. I can seen not reason why it would have been repainted. The car only has 22000 miles on it. I think they did paint the floor pans. All my C4s have the floor pans painted body color. Some have undercoating covering it up some.
Body color can be found on the underbody, the cowl looks like that but yours likely has been "touched up" with a little rattle can restoration. No big problem.
Spot on so far. The car in question is a 92 ZR1. I also have a 95 and 96 and what you described is what I see. My 96 has no undercoat but he 92 is almost all undercoated. I will take a picture of both sides at the firewall. I will also look at my 96. I think maybe the rattle can touch up may be the case here. I am just curious. The car looks great, the paint looks great for a 28 year old car. To me it looks like the red is over the black. I will take a close up picture.
The guy who was responding to my posts that appeared to have extensive judging experience. Why were his posts deleted?
Let's see if he might return to explain ...... 'the deletions he's famous for' !!!!!!
@ihatebarkingdogs has participated in 500+ posts but leaves little behind!
As a 'self proclaimed' NCRS C4 specialist you'd think he might do a bit better for a 20 year CF member who in this thread mentions currently owning 3 and he owns 2 himself.
A previous user ID for him is/was @DaveP85C4 There's posting threads of 250+ for that ID.
