Hows she running? That s lot of mods for a shakedown run. Who did the tuning?
She runs pretty good . The Holley Sniper self tunes pretty good for the most part . I can email Holley my data log and they will recommend adjustments.
I forgot how much fun these C4’s were to drive , got to do a nice mix of highway and backroads for around 60 miles total . Without the TPI it definitely wants a 3.54 gear . But other than that i don’t have any complaints so far
The system is supposedly self tuning for the most part . I can data log and send it to Holley for fine tuning or tweak it myself with the laptop . I got to do a good mix of Highway and backroads. I’m very happy overall but without the TPI it really wants a 3.54 gear .
AH I see the EFI tunable FI unit. Good to know. I was curious abou the gears though. Me stocker 93. I am trying to figure out going to a 3.07 and/or torque converter. its a 4l60 non-E AT. I get a little grunting cruising around it slips in to OD. still new to me so I am just learning what is adaptable for maybe what is better tuned out. Would you consider a 3k torque converter just out of curiosity?
I’ve never owned a 4l60 and am not an expert on what stalls people run . But a little bigger gear and a torque converter will wake up any car and without hurting your road trip ability . I wouldn’t personally go over a 2,400 stall on anything I would drive regularly.

I agree.
My prior '88 got upgraded with a 2,000rpm TC and launching at 1,900rpm really put you back in the seat on the strip.
On the street it would just roast the hides.
So help me if I am wrong. I was testing looking at the tach while cruising at 30 mph. Then punched it... On this trans 93,AT you can definitely hear/feel the down shift. But anyways I am pretty sure its not down shifting I see the tach rev to about 2400 and then it kind of doesn't rev as fast from there. The engine sound like its pulling hard then. As though the TC is catching on to the stall speed? Am I saying that right? If so I think these LT1/ATs are set at 2400 and with a 2.59 gear. I will do a axel spin on jacks at some point to count the turns.
