Default Need Translator - C4 AC Compressor

I'm in the process of replacing the water pump on my 1987 C4 - well into it. At the point where I have to get the AC compressor out of the way and while I can see what needs to be done, I have become confused by an explanation of one step in the process in Haynes. Yes, yes, I know Haynes has issues and is not generally well thought of but I wanted some sort of order to what I was doing rather than my erstwhile method of plunging in and often doing things out of sequence. Anyway, having removed the four accumulator bracket bolts, I am told, "Loosen but do not remove the rear AC compressor bracket bolt and remove the nut from the exhaust manifold stud to which the compressor is attached. Swing the bracket reinforcement arm free."

Now, on my own, I see two bracket bolts at the top of the bracket ('rear' of the compressor) and am aware of the Torx bolt underneath on the 'front'. I also see the two nuts holding the bracket on the studs that also hold the water pump. OK. I can loosen the bracket bolts but what is the "nut from the exhaust manifold stud to which the compressor bracket is attached"? Is it one of the things I've mentioned or something else. And where exactly is it? And what do they mean exactly by the "bracket reinforcement arm"?

My assumption at this point is that I am merely trying to swing the compressor off the studs so I can get at the water pump. Yes?

BTW, I did look for the DIY page. Didn't there used to be one with photos? But I don't even know if there's a 'water pump' file on it.

TIA for any info. I'm not that far from done but in my creeping dotage I've become super **** about not going off in the wrong direction in these matters.

Thanks again.

Never fails. Having dwelt on this overnight and searched thoroughly (I thought) I no sooner posted this and went out to the garage then I saw this thin black 'bracket" running from the outermost rear top bolt on the compressor to a stud on the exhaust manifold which I assume this is the 'bracket reinforcement arm'. But if anyone is inclined to lead me through these last steps it would be appreciated.

ditch the Haynes and get a factory service manual...usually $60 - $100(don't pay a penny more) on ebay

No issue with removal of old pump but I need to remove what appears to be called the "heater hose extension pipe" that threads into the passenger side of the water pump. Haven't been able to remove from the old after Blaster, WD-40 and torque wrench. I am perfectly willing to purchase a new one but can't find it anywhere. Anyone know where/if I can get one.

Never fails, again. Posted the earlier post went back out to the garage, forewent the socket, breaker bar, etc and tried a pipe wrench and BFH and, voila! Well, not quite that easy but...it finally turned.
