Default Do I need an alignment?

I have a 96.
I replaced all of the bushings front and rear including the batwing. I went with Poly.
I replaced the outer tie rods front and rear.
I replaced the shocks with new Belsteins front and back.
I replaced the upper and lower ball joints.
I replaced the half shaft ujoints.
Did all the work myself and torqued it all by the book. Took forever to get it all done.

I took care to make sure I put the upper a arms back the way they were with the shims that were in there.
I took care to make sure I measured and installed the new tie rod ends at the same distance as the old ones.
I made sure I installed the camber rod in the back at the same marks as it was.

I drove the car for the first time today. After a bunch of hard S turns and circles along with the some speed bumps the suspension has settled and is sitting like it was before, only the back is a little lower because I used lowering bolts.

Then I drove it straight for a while and it just goes straight. No veering off or turning on its own. The camber in the front and back looks almost identical to where it was before. When I did drive the corners it was much flatter than before. Also the bounce I was getting in the back is all gone now. It's just a firm ride now, lots of stupid rattles in the doors. I hate that.

Should I get it aligned?

Also the right side rides a little higher in the back than the left. Maybe an inch. It is noticeable if you look for it and since I know it I see it...ugh. It was like this before all the suspension work and is still the same. I cant figure our what that is. The only thing I haven't changed is the rear spring.

Alignment is cheaper than a set of tires.

I would say yes. Very hard to change all four tie rod ends and get it just right. Easy for me to say because a local shop has a laser hunter alignment machine and did a four wheel alignment for my 96 for $99. Dan

Nice. I hope to get that far some day. I have to do my rear wheel bearings now but may add the rear toe rods now, reading your project. I am concerned about the height difference though. Were you able to take some measurements from the suspension to the frame on all 4 corners. It is possible that the off setting height could be rooted in the front too. And also the body parts to the frame. I would be obsessed with the 1 inch body lean until I figured it out. Hope to hear your findings. I get with the step by step adjustments, alignments will add up expenses. In the end I think it would be best to finish up with a good alignment, you may catch a break if you ask for a "verification" measurement.

Definitely get a 4 wheel alignment...bet the difference in ride is night and day.
Windows always rattle in these things.
