Default paint chipping

Hey Forum: I recently decided to paint my interior doors black to match the new carpet I installed, they were the tan Saddle color. Anyway the Interior paint I bought to do the door said it was good for Vinyl surfaces and hard plastic surfaces. Now, after a few weeks, I have some small chips in the black paint and I was wondering if this is common when you paint interior parts.
Also I was wondering if you can use armor all type products to put a shine on those same painted surfaces?

You really have to spend alot of time doing prep work before using that paint. Even then it does seem to be easily scratched...as far as Armor all goes, I wouldn't use it for a few months....

Did you use SEM? If so you need to follow the steps, like Foster said prep is everything!

Well since I dont know what SEM is, I would have to say no. What pray tell is SEM.
The majority of the paint looks great and is holding up just fine, question, would I have to strip all the paint off and start over, or just work the problem areas.

SEM is specialty paint for interiors (plastic/vinyl, even carpet). I bought mine via amazon. Google and check them out

I've used Interior Dye from Eckler's with good results; agree that prep is everything.

You can prob deal with the affected areas by re-prepping it and misting the dye/paint over that area . Should blend fine.
