I've just come into possession of a 'well used' C4 vette. At the moment the tachy is broken (needle picks a place during start up then sits there) and the center digital speedometer is far too dim to be readable. Personally, I love the look of the 84-89 digital dash cluster, and ESPECIALLY the Corvette Craft aftermarket cluster. Was hoping there was something like that for the 90-96 cluster, but no such luck. Anyone got any ideas? I've got alot of free time so DIY heavy projects are no issue.
I can't help you with the aftermarket, but if you want to fix what you have go to batee.com. He has everything you need to get it back, or can rebuild it for you.
90 and 91 are different from 92 to 96, IIRC. I believe it is color of the dials. Question is going to be what you intend to do. Does it need to work 100%. If not, you can put an aluminum plate there and cut out holes for speedo and tach and a couple others. If you want the DIC to work, it will take a lot of work without the LCD panel.
