Instrument Cluster removed

Is it OK to start the car, not drive it , but just start it in the driveway with the cluster out and off the Batee

Have done it many times over the years including working at a dealership with no problems, a friend said when I asked 30 years ago it's just a display it make little to no decisions

But Officer, I guesstimated the speed limit to be whatever legal was. LOL

Seriously, I don't think it made any difference. I drove it without the cluster home from the shop that pulled the cluster out.
