It seems that my shifter likes to rattle (just hear it, not feel it) only happens just under 3000rpm in every gear. I checked and double checked every bolt and put down dynomat to make less annoying. Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix it......
Also it seems really really really hard to shift almost rediculuis but it is enguaging in every gear, I think some of it might be because I have my shifter **** all the way screwed down due to the fact that the stock lock pin won't fit into the B&M shifter. Should I call up B&M and get a new pin?

Huh? Mine fits perfectly. The harder shifting is due in large part to the decrease in mechanical advantage that you have on the shifter. It takes the same amount of force on the tranny side of the lever as it always did, you just dont' have the assistance of the longer lever, assuming everything is installed right. It's stiffer than stock but I can still shift it with 2 or three fingers without really moving my hand. If it's so stiff that you need to use a hammer there might be a problem. As for the rattle just lubricate all the moving parts on the bottom of the shifter with a good thick grease and double check the shims as mentioned.
WEll I've made the decision to get rid of the B&M and go with a Hurst, This thing takes way to much effort to shift and is too short for its own good :mad
You're not the first person I've heard that swapped the ripper out because they didn't like it. Me, I love the short throws and don't think the shifting is difficult at all. To each his own. Sure is a shame you can't 'try before you buy'.
