Default C4 motor trans swap

Hey guys,
I have an 88 with a tpi motor and a 4+3 trans. I would love to do a complete swap motor and trans but not sure what it entails and want to make sure its actually worth the time and effort before i start getting into. I look forward to hearing from everyone and thank you so much for your time and input on this.

I think the answer depends on what you want to swap in place of the L98/4+3...let us know

honestly I am just not a fan of the tuned port motor and i hate the 4+3 i want to stick with a manual trans, but on the motor end it really doesnt matter something with some power but I'm not looking to build a track car here just something fun to drive.

Well at this point I would say you'll have to decide what you want as far as engine and Trans.

For example you could pull the Motor and rebuild it to a 383 with a super ram or mini ram (or use a crate 383) and make nice power then get one of the SST perfect fit TKO 500 manual trans swap. The swap although a lots of work would be mostly bolt in from a mechanical perspective although you'll have to get someone like Scott Hansen of tune port injection programing services to burn you a PROM.

Or you can get EBL flash and take on the tuning yourself (with BOB's help)

You could also go another direction Like me an do an LS/T56 magnum swap, which was much more involved but will yield an awesome car.

Here's my thread:
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...peed-swap.html

Quite a few people on the forum have done LS swaps, so you can search and find thier threads also if its something that interests you.

If you want something that is even less work you could just do a cam, super ram, headers on your car and either keep the 4+3 or so the SST TKO 500 swap.

I used to run a super ram until I started the LS swap, with a cam it can make power to around 6000rpm. Great street intake for a 350 or 383. Here's what they look like (Mine is just collecting dust in my workbench at the moment)

Hope that goves you some ideas and kind of answers your question.
