Default Replaced driver side window Regulator with updated style regulator.

Overall it wasnt a really tough conversion. I was kinda shocked when I noticed that I had to do some drilling on the bottom of the door to mount the newer regulator. I was also pleasantly surprised when I checked the passenger side and found out it had already been updated. Now my driver side window goes up faster than my passenger side window :smash: !!!

When I first got my car I noticed the passenger window was much slower than the driver side. I even bought a new motor for the passenger side, thinking it was on the way out. Before I got it installed I had the driver side panel off and discovered it had been retrofitted. Anybody need a moter for cheap?
I've got to get around to retrofitting the passenger side one day.

Mine had one of each also, new on the passenger side. When I replaced the drivers side, I did not have to drill any holes. Also the window fit the open poorly before the changeover, even after many attempts at adjusting. I installed the new regulator and just bolted up the window and the window fit perfectly. I did have to switch the motor wires around to make the switch work correctly.

rxbdwl- If you need an updated passenger side window regulator, I know of one for REAL cheap. I was going to buy it from another forum member (into01000101) and he was nice enough to have held it for me for a few weeks now. Real nice guy from exchanging emails and talking to him about the regulator. I just found out today my passenger side was already retro-fitted and had to back out on him so I feel kinda obligated to sell it for him. Shoot him an email or an IM if you are interested.

Weird...My old one only had 1 hold for the bolt on the bottom of the old regulator. Plus it was in the wrong location. Maybe it's because I bought an updated regulator from a newer car and not the retro-fit kit? I've had the window out 2 times now and I have yet had a problem getting it to line up correctly on the first attempt. In fact, I think it may seal tighter now with the newer regulator.
