After some research I have found that this to check the fuel pressure...? Basically I got the car a month ago and just recently noticed it and saw there was no cap it smells like gas coming out and when I noticed the cap missing the car had problems staying on for more than 5 seconds... could that be the case and where can I get a new cap for it thank you also I’m new to forums :/

wait I can’t upload the photo
The plastic cap doesn't hold the fuel in. There is a small valve similar to whats in a valve stem on your wheels. The cap just protects the valve. Are you leaking fuel out of the test port?

yes... what’s circled in the image has gas or what smells like gas bubbling out 😔
Found them. I had taken one out for the HSR and four sitting in the box waiting for disposal. For the price of the padded envelope and stamps, I'll sell you one of them. Been trying to clear out stuff so.....
WVZR-1, Do you have a reference for a database to look up the original part numbers?
If you mean regarding the part(s) in question, yes for the L98 TPI. GM# 17110854 which would have been a kit that included 'all'. It would have serviced many/most GM TPI at the time. These are my own GM SPO Parts Catalog publications not a data base per se.
I was actually referring to a generally available database where one could enter a part description from the FSM and get an original part number. Then shopping for a replacement part would be easier. I needed a short coolant hose from the throttle body to the tee connector which the FSM called a Throttle body to Heater input hose, but I never found the part on the internet just using the name. I purchased a foot long piece of universal heater hose to replace it.
