Hello everyone. So went to start up the vette yesterday and go nothing out of it. All guages lit up, fan came on and interior lights worked. But got nothing when I turned the key over. No click, no nothing. This has happened 1 time since I have owned it. I drove it for about 20 miles. Went into store and came out and was dead. Waited about 10 mins and it fired right up. Are there any common places to start. Maybe a solenoid? Or bad connection to starter? Anyone else came across this before?
I believe its called the starter interrupt relay, my 85 does the same thing, I have to remove the DIC and move the wires behind it around. It's a pain especially since our cars don't have VATS.
Edit: Here's the starter circuit from the FSM, i have a manual so I jiggle the green wire going into the white relay just about in the middle. My car sat for 10 years so all the connectors are corroded and cause intermittent connections.

Could also be the neutral safety switch. Or on a stick the clutch safety. .. unless someone put an alarm in it.... pulled the alarm out of mine last summer.
Also the door lock has a interlock with the starter interrupt relay to prevent theft. known failure point
Check the security light - if flashing ..
Before I pulled the alarm, I ran a wire from the S terminal on the starter to a remote momentary push button switch and then to the battery to get around that issue. If it doesn't start I leave the key on and hit the button - starts.

Hello, Check all your connections but it could be a faulty ignition switch.
