Default Early or Late 1986?

I'm doing a bit of a tune up on my 1986. As I was looking to purchase spark plugs, they were categorized as up to early-1986 and late-1986 or after. How do I know if my 1986 is early or late? The sticker inside the door indicates that it was manufactured 08/85. Thank you,

The difference is iron (early) or aluminum (late) heads. The threaded portion of the plug on the iron head is short, about half an inch long. The aluminum head plug has 3/4" of thread length.

Does your car have 'perimeter valve cover studs/bolts' or center retaining bolts?

8/85 should have been Early production.

However its the heads that give it away, 4 bolts around the perimeter of the valve cover indicate iron heads and early. 4 bolts down the center of the valve cover indicate aluminum late.

Just checked, mine is iron heads with the 1/2 inch thread plugs. So early. Thanks a bunch for the quick response to my question. I'm a first time corvette owner so your knowledge and insights are very much appreciated and I expect I'll be asking more questions as time goes by. Thanks again,
