90 heater blend door.
The car is a 1990 coupe. I just replace the heater blend door actuator and because of the location of the actuator I also replaced the forward half of the heater box with a 93 part so now the actuator is located on the bottom of the heater box instead of on top making it much easier to access. Everything is working now except it seems the blend door is working backwards. For heat I have to adjust the temp setting to full cold and the opposite if I want full A/C. Anyone have any suggestions or a remedy for this?

Thanks for the reply. When moving the actuator from the top position to the bottom position it is flipped over so it does in fact turn the shaft for the blend door in the opposite direction. As the actuator is the same for 90 thru 96 I suspect GM just changed the harness to correct the direction of the actuator.
Like you stated I would think switching the wires in the plug may cure the problem. No splicing was done . Just rerouted the harness to the bottom of the heater box.

Yes swapping the wires will reverse the rotation of the actuator. I replaced the heater in my 86 with a late c4 heater because early actuators are expensive and the reproduction parts are crap. I had to wire by pinout not by wire color.
