Default Power steering reservoir question

Hi all,
On my new-to-me 1987 drop top I noticed that the reservoir cap is actually touching the upper coolant hose.

I can see 2 options:

1) Carefully bend the bottle holder away from the hose (but not into the belt

2) cut the hose back about 1/2" and that should give the reservoir cap clearance.

Suggestions and best option(s)?

Thanks

(edit) I'm trying to attach a picture but it stops at 90% in Chrome and with Firefox it shows I have uploaded it but all I see is a placeholder.

My '88 has no such issue but the "new" '89 has similar interference as you show.

So far I've not addressed the issue; will be interesting to see recommendations and how your solution works.

Make sure your hose is on the radiator all the way. A small adjustment there will make enough room.

So I found an easy fix. I loosened the 2 rear bolts and removed the 1 that connects to the fan shroud. I put a washer under the front bracket and reinstalled the bolt and then tightened the back 2 up again. I now have clearance between the power steering cap and upper rad hose. I wish all my C4 problems were this easy to solve!

Hopefully this helps someone out.

I'd still check to make sure the hose is all the way on the radiator. That's likely where the actual problem lies.
