Default Big brakes part II

Well I finally got the calipers back from the powder coater after a week delay
Look great and are ready for re-assembly and to tear up the roads...just need a motor.

Initial picture of caliper. Nice and shiney

Inside of caliper showing 2 of the 4 pistons

Other side of the caliper

Elongated view from the top

Mounted Driver side, and yes the rotors need cleaning. Been sitting for a while

View looking straight down

Part three will be as soon as I do get the black rims in and show the brakes actually put on for good. As it stands I'm waiting on the seal kit, and that is it.

That looks great!

DO you have any pictures of the J55s in the rear?
Are you able to keep your parking brake?

if you want to make the rotors more photogenic before you drive it use 100-150grit sandpaper and go over the whole disc, it will take all that surface rust off.

Did you have to completely disassemble the calipers to have them powder coated? :)

Yes you have to pull all the rubber seals out, as they bake the stuff at 500-600 degrees. ANything metal can stay, but if it's there, it's going to get powder coated. So it's best to strip off everything.

This is the Porsche/Brembo 4 piston kit. Same caliper that is on the Porsche TT from 96-97

I should have the rims early next week, hopefully :D
