I just discovered that one of the rear passenger side ABS sensor on my 89 Corvette is NFG. Does anyone know where I can buy a new one? Or a working one?
Thank you
Joe

Reason: forgot something
New, no. Working, hard to say. I have seen some on eBay that are in worse looking shape than mine. I had managed to get all four by getting piece by piece.
Is the wire broke? If so maybe you can solder it back. If the sensor is defective, IDK how to cut it apart and weld it back. I would say that at this point, you might have to wait on one coming from eBay.
It and the wires are in tact. So what ever has failed it is inside the casing. Carid sells a ABS sensor for the front wheel. I am wondering what the difference is between the rear and front. I am going to call them tomorrow. Thank yo

I went to RA. Actually. They don not sell many ABS sensors. I looked through a list of cars. I was wondering if that sensor is used on other GM models. I am calling Carid, Cranburry NJ today. They sell a front ABS sensor. Is there a difference. They all look a like and have the same resistance. Just wondering.

The ABS sensor has a specific amount of OHMS like 900 to 2000 OHMS. I did not measure the sensor. A friend that was assisting me did. This weekend I am going to measure it and check for voltage fluctuation, myself.

Just wondering. I thought that on the spinning wheel AC voltage tells all?
No I used a multi meter to determine that one of the sensors is no good. I was just wondering out loud sorta. If there is an analyzer other than the KM that does the OBD 1 ABS system. And then I was trying to figure how a sensor fails. It is in the hub. Just thinking out loud. I have TunerPro RT on my laptop. I see that there are some new programs out there. Does anyone use them. And how do they work.

And that's what I was telling you in your other thread, no ABS data is accessed through the 86-89 ALDL. It is considered "Off-board diagnostics". In 90, everything was tied in and ABS info is accessed through the ALDL.
I heard you the first time. In fact the reader my mechanic used said exactly what you said. The light just tells you something is a miss. The KM is needed to determine the problem. We used a multi meter. Thank you again
