Good morning everyone I'm obviously new here. So I'm ken. Iv lived in nv since 04 I moved up here from cali. I'm 49. Got my 1st corvette here 2 yrs ago an its been in the shop for over a yr. Lol now I have a nightmare on my hands. I got my 1990 c4 as a payment for painting a friend's house. Beside 30 yrs of norm wear the car wuz in excellent condition! I gave the new to me tune up changed most of the fluids. Wuz so excited I forgot to change transmission fluid an blew the tyranny rt up. Took it to a local mechanic an my nightmare begins!! Long long story cut super short after $2750.00 now I got a car with a bad transmission an a blown motor...where do I go from here. Our local GM dealer says it's gunna cost 4k(don't have) to fix wut other mechanic did...I need sum solid advice n wud love to get cat back on the road wit a -$5 budget

Yes I picked up small claims paperwork yesterday but even when I get the judgement he is probably going to make $50 a month payments to the court then the court will take there cut an that won't get my car going. So where would I go to get another mitor/trans combo or shud I try rebuilding the 1 I got
