1986 Automatic Trans Blown

I have a 86 with an automatic trans. It was rebuilt 10 years ago but; that was before any upgrades. The car now has around 425hp with 480 of torque (last time it was dynoed). I am looking for recommendations for a new trans. If I buy new, from where?? The rebuild practice is a fading art. I don't want some clutches thrown in and call it a rebuild. Right now the car has a stall at 2400 with 3.54's in the rear. I'm just not sure which direction to go.

I would try to get it done local. There will be a fair amount of hard parts involved but a competent transmission specialist should be build one for you.
