Default Crate engine Swap

I'm looking to replace my worn out L-98 with a 355 ci. crate engine from Jegs Who has done this and what intake manifold did you use? F.I or go to carb? What fits under the hood on an 87 C4?

I suppose that depends on what's wrong with your stock parts and what your goals\budget are. Are you planning on keeping the TPI and/or the heads? Looking just to replace it, or add power?
Alternate EFI intakes get pricey fast, carb swaps sacrifice driveability.

Honestly, just get a ZZ4 longblock and swap over your factory parts. The ZZ4 is basically a TPI engine with a slightly different cam and a carb slapped on it. This is what I did and have been extremely happy with it. Don't expect a big performance gain as most of that is limited to the factory intake.

Be advised that once you start changing intakes your going to have to be able to tune the car or have it tuned. Things snowfall very rapidly.

So did you go with a carb instead of the TPI system?
