Is that Vette magazine article online somewhere? I would like to see it.
This guys 415rwhp isn't too bad for a stock displacement motor with a hyd. cam. I am surprised that they couldn't get more rpm out of the valvetrain. I saw an article in a Ford magazine recently where they were able to push a hyd. roller to 7000 rpm. They didn't even use the hydra rev kit. Just good valve springs, and a grind that wasn't too aggressive on the ramps I suppose.
How are they spinning a stock bottom end so high with no top ring seal loss? I thought you can spin a stock LT1 to only about 6200RPM and that is why the LT4 has a different top ring! Can someone please help me with this since I have been avoiding spinning my motor higher and thus decided to try some different ways to get good power. If this is true I will go ahead and put a bad a@# cam in my car. :yesnod:
