The hood clearance won't be an issue with a car intake manifold. You are going to have to figure out the c beam adapter and something for the shifter. The shifter will likely need to be offset towards the driver's side several inches. Depending on where the shifter lands in the tunnel, you may be able to get away with a custom offset shifter handle/rod.

What is the AR5 trans out of? Some of the AR5s from the Pontiac Solstice or Saturn Sky used a c-beam (torque arm) instead of a perpendicular crossmember. The tail shaft housings on those have two vertical pass through holes very similar to c4 setups. Seems like one of those wouldn't be too tough. Looks like a fairly expensive adapter plate has to be used to mate the AR5 to a bellhousing that will work with an LS clutch setup. And the AR5 isn't all that stout. 260tq rating.

My 6.0 LS swap 84 has a TKO 600 w/ LS7 flywheel/clutch and a Tilton 6000 throw out bearing. The c beam adapter is a Silver Sport Transmision piece.

Glad to hear of another C4 LS swap,

As noted above, Car intake manifold with C5/6 Corvette accessory drive and the engine will fit fine. manifolds, will be shorty, C5 manifolds or BRP headers. Melarose used to make headers but they are no longer avaliable.

You will have to make a C-beam adapter and possibly have your driveshaft lengthened or shortened depending on how long an AR5 is. Offset shifter might also be needed... Then you have the wiring and ECU, finally the hardest obstacle is getting the A/C working but it can be done, I got it working on mine. Those will be the main areas to consider and address during the swap.

Here's my built LS2/T56 Magnum swap which is driveable but not quite done...
