Default Ac blend door?

My 89 Corvette with the automatic HVAC is blowing only hot air. The lines are cold but no cold air in the car. I guess it is the blend door. Where is it and how do I test it the FSM did not have a description on trouble shooting. Thank you

On top of the engine side of the air box there is the blower motor controller. If you take that out, you can shine a light down and see the blend door position. If you see heater core, it's on heat. if you see evaporator... well, you get the idea.

Thank you. This weekend, I will hopefully get a look. Is the door operated by vacuum? or electric? Thank you

You have the C68 option. C68 is the Auto Climate Control System and is electric. The other type would be manual.

Someone on FB wrote me and said that this could be because of my LED lights. Evidently the headlights and the HVAC are on the same circuit. He put a cornering light bulb in the circuit and now his AC works. I am going to put back my Halogens on the weekend and see.
