I just got the NX maximizer installed and have yet to try it out. I am going to an 1/8 mile track tomorrow to get it dialed in and was wondering what is a good base program to start with. I was wondering if anyone around here is running one.? If so what kind of programs are you running? I.E. delay, build time, retard, start power, and full power.
This is how I programmed it for right now. no inital delay. start power 30% of 150 shot. build time, 2.5 secs to full power. reset +10%.
This felt good. The power came on smooth but still way too much for street tires. I think this setup will be perfect for ET streets. I guess we'll see tomorrow.
Last night went to the high school drag 1/8 mile track (my first time). Met a couple of forum members out there. I think it's safe to say that this is the worst track I have ever been to! No joke, well, I actually it was a joke. This track is in a parking lot with no water box and barely enough room for shut down(almost crashed a couple of times), plus no organization whatsoever, all ran by high school kids.
Couldn't get the car to hook no matter what I did. Without nitrous the best 1/8 et was 8.1 @ 88mph with a 2.1 60ft. with the nitrous and the maximizer set a 20% start and build time of 2.0 secs the 1/8 et was 7.5 @94mph with a 2.0 60ft. I made a total of 4 passes and went home. I will never go back again.
I have to get this maximizer dialed in at a better track.
So did the maximizer work? I don't know. Because without the maximizer last time at carlsbad the car went 7.2 in the 1/8 @ 98mph with a 1.8 60ft. So I don't know, but I think it's the track.
