Stock '85 Erratic Idle Issue

Please help! I have a 1985 with 47,000 miles on it with an erratic idle. The symptom starts after the engine is fully warmed up to operating temp and is under load at idle (in gear). If I shift to neutral it idles normally. It drives just fine without any hesitation at speed. At a stop sign or stop light it will vary from about 350 rpm to 750 rpm. It doesn't die but sure gets close. Any help would be appreciated. I have replaced the mass airflow sensor, had the throttle position sensor tested and it's most likely not the fuel since it has done this for a while now but is slightly worse this spring.

Have you cleaned the throttle body, especially around the throttle plates?

get bottle of tb cleaner and spray up down vac lines....may be a slight leak somewhere....
