Default Coolant Bleed Valves.

Hello, I am trying to attach the coolant bleed valves and pipe on my '94 and it appears everyone I can find has them on the front of the engine, however on mine it attaches to the back of the engine. Any body have any tips on how to get this in because I can't get it to fit right. Also why does mine appear to be different than every other LT-1

That is the coolant cross over pipe connection that runs between the rear of each cylinder head.

Be EXTRA careful the banjo bolts are threading correctly before tightening as it can strip the head. Also, be really careful not to bend the pipe much as they become brittle with age. replacements are expensive.
I’d suggest sourcing some new banjo bolts as yours looks a bit stripped.

I am struggling to get it to line up, I got the first bolt threaded a little but am having difficulties getting the second one. I ordered some new bolts but the quickest shipping I could get was next week and I was hoping to start the car for the first time this weekend.

I saw one person on the ls1tech forum who cut the pipe in order to get it back on, then used a hose to connect it. Is there any reason why this is a bad idea?

You may have to bend the pipe a bit to align properly. Take your time, you don’t want to strip anything back there or you may be pulling a head.
