that hawk pad looks like it might have the identification nbr on it. you could pull the pad out and if the id is there, you would know exactly what you are dealing with

I have an opportunity to do some laps at Mid-Ohio later this month...time to get a few things verified and get a few spare parts to take along...like pads! :-)
Yes. "no one" changes the rear for a few reasons:
1. The rear C4 brake is already better than good enough for the work that it has to do at the rear of the car (not a lot).
2. Moving to the C5 rear caliper, you either lose the park brake or you need to do a bunch of fabrication to make the C5 brake work.
3. Overall....not worth it.
So, "everyone" just swaps the front and then changes the brake bias spring.
