Default Dana 36 gurus ~ HELP!

I've already searched & read most every post concerning my question and I'm still a bit confused on rear end lubricant .....

Exactly what should I use? Redline, Mobil 1, or something else?
If I use Redline, does it require the additive? how much?
If I use Mobil 1, does it require the additive? how much?

What is the total capacity of the Dana 36?

I'm planning on changing the fluid in a "new" 3.31 rear end that I recently got and don't want to screw it up. Draining the old & putting in the new should be easier with the batwing sitting on the floor of my garage.

Any other recommendations before I do this install?

Thanks in advance to all who respond ... I've never yet failed to get good help from this Forum and I always learn something new.

Use the VP GL-100 semi-synthetic lube all by itself, no limited slip additives needed.

Basically, if you have the rear end out fo the car, just drain it by tilting it, then set it level, and fill it through the drain plug until the fluid just starts to seep past the edge of the drain plug holes threads. It will take less than 2 qts.

You can get it here: http://www.vpracingfuels.com/GL100.h...D80229B8BFB70E

It really is better than any other lube on the market...and that was not an exageration.

Thanks for the heads up on the VP GL-100. Is this available only thru mail order or is it commonly stocked by certain stores?
