New Golen 383 with LE2 top end. everything has been refreshed or rebuilt besides the rack...
I have some slop in my steering. I have checked the rag joint and it is not the cause of the slop.
The slop definitely resides withinin the rack Itself.
Are the rebuilt steering racks any good? Is it opossible to adjust in order to get rid of the slop?
The unit does not leak.
Thanks for any advise.

X3 for turn one. A lot of the rebuilt racks and even the supposedly "new" rack I purchased from rock auto have a larger hole for the mounting bushing than stock which means you can't install them unless you make a custom bushing. Learned my lesson, will be going to turn one next time.
They can match/verify the flow from the pump and make sure that it is the right part and they are compatible. They can also tell from the flow rate if your pump needs service or not. I have used them several times regarding my C3 power Steering primarily as the pumps output pressure was causing problems.
One lesson I walked away with from them is the Standard "Heat is your Enemy", I have installed TUBE coolers on the PS fluid systems to keep the fluid cooler to help my racks last longer. Cooler Power Steering Fluid will help get many more years of service before rebuild time again. I also increased the reservoir size on the C3 to get a larger volume of PS fluid which also helps keep it cooler.
TURN 1 has quite a following on this Forum! There must be a reason for that... They do great work!
