I didnt have to change anything... My tach works just fine with it... But the manual says if the tach isnt working properly then by-pass the tach filter
i read that in the manual but im not sure where the filter is :confused:
I wish I could tell you, but I'm not aware of to its location for an LT1. On an L98 they are located on the upper/left bellhousing bolt below the distributor, but you don't have a normal distributor. :)
On the original wiring harness, look for the connector that plugs into the coil. Should be the gray and black plug that you disconnected and plugged into your MSD easy harness. Look at those plugs and trace that cable back a few inches. You will come across a small cube, about an inch square or so, that's the tach filter. It should have a white wiring coming out of either side of it, you might have to remove some tape to see this. Remove enough tape to leave you some room to work. Cut the wires going to the tach filter and just splice them back together, leaving the filter unhooked. You might be able to leave yourself enough room to splice back into the tach filter should you ever need to.

I can't remember exactly, but isn't 3000 RPM the spot where the digi-6 switches over from multiple sparks per cylinder to one big motha' of a spark per cylinder?

3300rpms, they say after that there is no time to keep firing MSD
