Default Stand alone ECU questions

I have a 94 6 speed that I am in the process of building a turbo 383ci LT1, so in order to have this thing tuned I figured the best approach was to ditch the stock ECU. Who makes kits for these cars that are mostly plug and play and will not mess with or eliminate features of the car and light up every warning light on the dashboard. I have looked at torquehead but they don't have their complete C4 kit available yet and I don't know alot about EFI Connections. Is there any other plug and play kits I can look at that are good.

Torqhead was the only one that plugged right in and made the CCM happy.

The stock PCM on a '94 is far more capable than you think. You may want to stick with it if you plan on keeping the stock dash and CCM and all that. Oh, and join the forum Gearhead-EFI. They're brilliant hackers with a special focus on the 94-95 PCM.

My biggest issue is finding someone to tune LT1s around me, no one will touch these things but everyone knows how to tune LS...

If the wait time is within your timeframe of acceptance you should go for Torqhead

Oh wow, they're actually offering C4 kits again! Yeah, agreed OP, if you absolutely must swap to the 0411 PCM just so a local tuner will even look at your car, and you can wait the one month Torqhead is quoting for new orders, that's how you should go.
