thank you, when i disconnected the MAF it ran must better just waiting on the part now... I have another question can you tell me if the 1985 has and MAF power and burn off relay and if so where is it located?? again thank you
85 has a "burn off module" located on passenger side behind "bread box" on dash. After 85, they went to a simple relay located on firewall. As I understand it, if your module is bad (and I am not sure how you isolate a bad module).. .you'll be going to ebay, etc. looking for a decent used part.

Bad modules wont power the sensor or won't trigger burnoff after shutdown, easy to test with a multimeter, after shutoff you should hear couple of faint clicks from behind the breadbox.
Ok iv replaced the mass air and the mass air burn off module behind the bread box and with everything together its running just like it was when this happed... There is no check engine light. Is there anyone who may know what is up with this?

OK I have an error code 43 I replaced the knock sensor and it still is running poorly and still have 43 code. If the Coolant Temp sensor was bad would that give me a code 43???
with everything else that has been replaced and tested I think if the Coolant Temp sensor doesn't correct the problem it would be the ecm??
