Default Hawk Brake Pad Thickness

I purchased a set of new Hawk Performance HB111Z.610 ceramic brake pads for my 1990 Corvette with the JL9 (non heavy duty) calipers. The Hawk Performance HB111Z.610 ceramic brake pads have a specified thickness of .61 inches. I see the Hawk also sells Hawk Performance HB112F.540 HPS Performance Ceramic Brake Pad. The Hawk Performance HB112F.540 HPS Performance Ceramic Brake Pad have a specified thickness of .54 inches. Both pads are sold as being able to fit the 1990 Corvette.

Has anyone installed the thicker pads? Is there a problem fitting the thicker pads in the Caliper?

There is usually a clearance when installing brake pads great enough to fit either pad.
The pedal needs to be pumped several times for the caliper and fluid to compress the rotor.

The 111Z is the front, the 112F is the rear.

Pads for JL9 and J55 are the same, the difference is in the rotor thickness and caliper width.
