1993 resonator question

1993 resonator question
93 coupe with 14 k miles, 6 sp, when you rev engine and let off resonator , large unit with two pipes in and out has a rattle to it that sounds like marbles rattling on inside. does this every time you rev engine. put car on lift, friend got in car, raised it with engine running, he reved engine i was underneath and it is definitey coming from resonator, question, is this normal??? what could be loose in resonator? nothing seems loose , hangers are all tight?

The straight-through resonators have only some baffling along the length of the 2.75" tubing, I'm certain the two inner resonator tubes don't meet, no x or h, like true dual's. I'm not sure how these could break lose. My guess is either you've got some foreign junk that traveled it's way down into the resonator, or worst case, one of your catalytic converters just spat out a peice... or you know, maybe it's just some good ol' vibration. Honestly, I cannot have a good idea unless I'm there. Otherwise the resonator is a pretty solid peice. Still, perhaps something broke in there. Someone else can chime in. I'd replace it with an x-pipe.
