Hooker header install questions

Hooker header install questions
Hello all, I have a few questions being that I'm pretty inexperienced.
I'm looking at getting a set of "Hooker Headers 2151HKR" for my 93. These say "oval port", even though the LT1 is D port, it seems to be what everyone on here is using from what I've read. Is that right?
Im also trying to figure out if I will be able to reweld the flanges that bolt to the collectors to the stock tubing further back, or if we will have to fabricate.
