AC controller
Sups Ya'll. Has anyone changed their base model AC controller located below the Radio which is just 2 levers/switches over to the upgraded digital one or whatever it is?? b/c i have the Base controller, nothing fancy and it's giving me poopiee. Every once in a while, i have to pound the fan switch to make it all come on..... but my friend has a 89 with a diferent "fancier" AC controller, is that a simple swap?? Bc if i'm gonna buy one.....i'll buy the nicer one. any ideas or help?? thankx

You would do better to fix what you have. To convert to automatic, you would have to change the in dash unit, the programmer under the dash and the servo that controls the hot-cold air mixer door. And when you are done, the automatic unit doesn't work all that well anyway and is probably less reliable.
