Default Cooler lines

Hi everybody. I am installing the Hayden oil cooler on my 89 Corvette this weekend. I purchased steel braided lines and AN fittings. The lines are 10 feet long each. Just on the outside chance that the lines are too short for the way I want to run them. Will the AN fittings work with a hose. I thik they would just asking. Thank you

You would have to cut off the end or disassemble it at least. You can extend a AN line using the right fittings to connect hoses. They might seem long now but when you start attaching them to the frame and other components you should be fine. Look at the bright side you have some "room to play" and this might help you find the best location for your cooler. The trick here is to not have any tight bends and have the hoses un-stressed.

I used Tube holders and Tie wraps to install my AN lines in the engine compartment. I think you will be happy with your decision. Your Hoses are long enough to allow you to go up front and find some cooler air!

Have Fun! Your Corvette will sure appreciate the cooler oil!

The hoses are ten foot steel braided. I think they will be long enough. Like you said. I want to make sure the lines curves are smooth, no kinks. I was thinking if they do not fit to get regular hose. As long as the AN fittings will work with it. Thank you

I bought a 25 foot roll for mine and have right around 8 feet left of it. You should be just fine depending where you mount it.

I thought it would be enough. But you all know how that goes. I would have preferred a roll.
thank you

Are you asking if you can use rubber hose with AN fittings meant for braided steel line?

Yes, if the lengths are not enough. Will a rubber hose work? another question the piece that goes between the motor and the oil filter. Do you put Permatex or something? I think there is a rubber ring. But I am just asking. Thank you

I used the rubber oring with a dab of oil and torqued to spec.

I don't believe regular line works with AN fittings.

Do not use rubber hose with an AN fitting. Just oil your o-ring. Don't use permatex.
