Does anybody even make these anymore? My car desperately needs one, but everywhere is currently out of production. I'm referring to the cover piece with the circuit board in it.
They are hard to find new and like you know many places even Rock don't list it, so I guess that means Used you can try Mirrock Corvette parts in Saltsburg P.A.wheather he will separate cover from motor is questionable.
or you can research if that cover is used on more available cars in junkyard's

I've been told my wiper gremlin is due to a burnt out board, but I remember getting a (supposedly) new unit a few years back (that didn't actually solve the issue). Is there a good way to verify if a unit is actually bad?
Reason I ask is because I took out the board from my 88 to clear tall valve covers. The only thing I lost is delay, and washer motor. With the board gone I have lo, high, and mist.
I also bought a new motor at the time as mine was 30 something years old. The new one came with an added on case ground. So there's some things to think about.
I bought a new one about a year and a half ago. Had to return once as they have two different connectors. I got the right one but it did not fix my washer issue so I put the old one back in. It is new and I would be glad to sell. I will post a picture of the connector. Dan

This is not a GM product but a repro. Dan PS: A lot of the repro products are made by the same companies who made the original as it would not pay to gear up to make these from scratch as the market is too small.

The issue is one that's been a thorn in my side for a few years. The park switch inside the motor never releases, and the wipers never manage to move more than a few inches. If I take out the park switch from the motor, power gets sent and the motors will move but only on the high setting, no pulse. I got fed up and took it to a shop that I hopes would be able to solve it, and they ran power through each contact. The boards are failing to deliver their outputs. I'm going to take a closer look this weekend after I get the car back from them. Whaleman's pictures look like the new one I bought a little while back, I also have the original board but it's got some burn marks on it.

Ya know, I own a few pinball machines. Once a few years ago, the one circuit board (from 1977) burned up. And I mean burned up. No way was my guy gonna fix it. 150 bucks later I couldn't believe it but I was as good as new..
Point is, maybe find a pinball guy in your area and ask them to look at the board. Wouldnt surprise me if they could fix it......just a thought.
Pinball electronic experts must be as scarce as hens teeth. Dan
A rare breed indeed. But they are out there. Places that rent them out usually have a tech there. Next time mine breaks and I see him ill have to ask about other circuit board repair.. worth a shot
There is a cell phone repair shop in my area that does board level circuit board repair. They also fix circuit boards to washers, TV's etc where individual components must be replaced...surface mount devices, through hole components etc. The pinball shop technician idea isn't bad.
Not so sure I can trust what they said at this point...
Don't go to fast lane auto in St. Charles, MO. Asked them to do my weatherstripping too, but they couldn't see it behind the seat somehow. Total rip off.

You took the actual board out of the cover, and you still have those functions?
My wipers on my 96 only go one speed and dont turn off until I turn the car off. I read on here a new motor would solve it. I installed the new motor and it worked ONE time. Then right back to how they were.
Is this a board issue as well?
Yes. Hi and low but not delay or washer. Car won't see rain unless it catches me off guard, so only cared that they worked in some manner.
I was going to take the green board out, but those damn black washers are pain in the ****.
So, if I took it out, just put black plastic cover back on , plug her in and go?
I am no driver in rain to, but, I want the damn thing to shut off when I turn it off. I have replaced two park switches, and two covers.
It delays, and lo and hi..

I did a post here with pics. About 3 years ago. But I took board out, then fiberglassed and painted it black. Did it to clear valve covers. All this talk about them makes me wanna check it this weekend, but I remember it worked fine. I never adjusted the arms either as I had bigger fish to fry. Maybe its time lol
Here is the thread. The green board pulse/delay does what exactly? I just need it to turn on/off high and low.. Other than that, I dont care about any other feature. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...per-motor.html
